Behind every successful company are passionate and determined founders. Level Craft Construction is known for its dedication, precision and care by all members of their team over its 20-year history. Debbie Hollonbeck is one of Level Craft’s two female owners. Her love for homebuilding and remodeling shows in her work with her excellent team and clients. Debbie takes pride in crushing stereotypes by being a woman in the construction industry and proving that women can be successful business owners and raise a family at the same time.
Debbie started her professional career by receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in education and art history and was an art teacher for six years before starting her career in construction. Debbie and her husband began their journey by flipping houses, and then eventually building their own home. Because of her talent, she was approached by a local builder and offered a position as project manager. Five short years later, she partnered with co-founder Virginia Van Lear to start Level Craft.
Debbie is dedicated to her love for renovations. She works over 50 hours per week and most of her time is spent hands on, either at job sites or meeting with current or potential clients. She manages her projects from dry in, to completion and certificate of occupancy, all the way to handing the keys over to the homeowners. She works closely with clients, subcontractors and vendors to manage the design and finish selections. Because Debbie is so involved with the design aspect of the process, she gets to enjoy interactions with customers to see their vision through to the final product.
“My favorite part about my job would be the excitement on the homeowner’s face when they see what we've created together,” said Debbie. “Every day is so productive and there is constant change. It is amazing handing over the keys to our clients at the end of the project and hearing them say how happy and excited they are with the finished space.”
Debbie and her team are passionate about seeing each individual project to the end.
“We really love what we do and hopefully our high level of excitement and engagement creates the best product for our clients,” continued Debbie.
